Real Estate is cyclical - but not all cycles are equal.
Let me explain.
Five years ago, everyone wanted to get into residential real estate and do rehabs in Maryland. That’s what everyone was saying to do, all the new investors were doing it, even TV shows like “Flip This House” started popping up. Rentals were out - yesterday’s news - as it was getting tough to make properties cash flow and people looked for something else in which to invest.
Those who followed the herd and were late to the party? Well, they are the ones with retail properties that are tough to move right now.

We are hoping to have this for an annual event, so entry turn out is needed. Tell your friends, we are calling it the Golden Shovel Award.
It will be given to the investor / developer / group that is considered the most ground breaking for the year. If you think you have the stuff to win, give it a shot and enter now.
To enter simply e-mail a minimum of 3 projects done within the last 12 months to 2007winner@mdcrei.com. These projects should be those that you would consider ground breaking. Projects can be of any size or type.
