1986 height of residential construction in the US = 5% GDP
1991 low of residential constuction in the US = 2.5% GDP
5yr. term.
2005 height of residential construction in the US = 5.1% GDP
2007 has declined to 3.9% GDP representing a 1.2% loss in 2 yrs.
Faster than the rate at 1988.
Concluding that at EOY 2009 we should have a decline to 2.7% GDP
Over a 4yr term. of .6% loss annually. So over the same 5yr term
2005-2010 we should bottom out at 2.1% GDP.
The lowest in 40 years.
